Katya Jones has revealed she received some tough love from her mum after she was caught in the controversial Seann Walsh kiss scandal.
The Russian professional dancer was photographed locking lips with her 34 year old Strictly Come Dancing partner, who was in a relationship with actress Rebecca Humphries, 32, at the time, in 2018.
The incident put a strain on her marriage to fellow pro dancer Neil, 37, and the couple decided to split up just one year later in August 2019.
Now, the 31 year old has opened up about the ordeal on The Makers Podcast, where she explained that her Korean-born mother Tatiana Kim gave her a "kick up the a**e".

Katya, who was recently hit by claims she had x-rated photos leaked online, said: "It has been really hard.
"During Strictly last year I had a really bad, emotional moment, I called my mum on FaceTime because I didn’t want people to understand what I was saying."
"I felt so sorry for myself, I was in tears.
"I was expecting that she was going to be nice to me, calm me down and feel sorry for me, but she shouted at me: 'Katya, stop crying, what are you doing? What do you think that everyone is going to be nice to you in the entertainment and TV world? Stop crying right now, toughen up! '"
The TV star, who recently ignored government social distancing advice as she enjoyed a day out with Alex Scott, went on to explain that it was the reality check she needed in that moment of her life.
She said: "It was such a shock and it was a good thing it was exactly what I needed, I needed a kick up my arse."
"I stopped crying immediately and went, 'You’re right mum'."
Unfortunately, Katya and Neil couldn't get past their differences following the event and announced a year later that they made the decision to part ways.
