Sinead O’Connor pays tribute to son days before her death
Sinead O’Connor had just moved back to London earlier this month after leaving the capital 23 years ago. In one of her final social media posts, the Irish musician told her fans she was “very happy to be home” and filmed a clip showing them around her new flat.

The 56-year-old excitedly showed off her black Martin Johnny Cash guitar which was given pride of place on the wall.
Sinead promised fans she would be “writing some tunes” and was finishing an album which she hoped would be released next year.
In a separate tweet, Sinead shared her upcoming plans to go on tour in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States in 2024 and 2025.

Her 17-year-old son, Shane, tragically took his own life in January 2022.
In another of her final tweets, Sinead called him “the love of my life, the lamp of my soul” and said “he was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally”.
