Shia LaBeouf Responds to FKA twigs’ Lawsuit, Denies ‘Each & Every’ Allegation

In December, FKA twigs filed a lawsuit against Shia LaBeouf for relentless abuse and sexual battery during their relationship.

The 33-year-old entertainer, born Tahliah Debrett Barnett, described the allegations at length, which Shia, at the time, denied. In December of 2020, Shia said, “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say,” before adding, “many of these allegations are not true,” but he owed the women “the opportunity to air their statements publicly and accept accountability for those things I have done.”

Now, in February 2021, LaBeouf‘s legal team has filed a response.

The response states that he “denies, generally and specifically, each and every allegation contained in [Barnett]‘s Complaint, denies that [Barnett] has sustained any injury or loss by reason of any act or omission on the part of [LaBeouf], and denies that [Barnett] is entitled to any relief or damages whatsoever.”

His legal team added that “none of the acts alleged were based on sex and/or the conduct was not sexual.” He also added that he wants the judge to side with him and for FKA twigs to pay for not only his legal fees, but “further relief as the Court may deem just and proper.”

FKA twigs detailed even more allegations against him in a recent interview.
