Singer and actress Sarah Harding, 39, has admitted that the thought of never having children has made her cry. The Girls Aloud star was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and in August revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy, as the disease had spread to other parts of her body.
The treatment for her cancer can lead to an increased risk of infertility.
In her new book Hear Me Out, which was released this week, Sarah spoke of motherhood and how three of her former bandmates now have children.
“I was saying how we never thought Nadine would be the first one of us to have a child, and that now three of them have kids,” Sarah wrote.
Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, and Kimberley Walsh are all mothers.
She went on to say: “It might seem odd to worry about not having children when I don’t even know how much of a life I have left, but it’s there.”
“The truth is, even if my prognosis was better, it still wouldn’t be on the cards because of all the chemotherapy I’ve had.
“That treatment, harsh as it is, will have killed any chance I might have had.
“It’s making me cry just thinking about it,” she heartbreakingly admitted.
Following the release of her book, Sarah took to social media to thank fans for their support and kind words.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for all the kind and loving messages that I’ve received since the weekend. It means so much to me and to my mum.
“Today’s a special day because it’s publication day for Hear Me Out. At last.
“I actually can’t believe I’ve done it!

“What started out a dream idea last summer is now a reality.
“I hope you enjoy reading my story,” she wrote online, in view of her 322,000 Instagram followers.
Sarah had previously said that penning her book had given her “something fun and positive” to focus on while she was undergoing treatment.
An excerpt from her book earlier this week revealed that her treatment was “moving in the right direction.”
She explained that just before Christmas doctors delivered the news that the tumours in her brain and lung had both shrunk.
“Right now, every little victory feels momentous,” the former pop star penned.
The news had given Sarah the opportunity to enjoy the festive period with her mother.
Last night, she shared a picture of her new release placing in the Amazon Book charts.
“OMG thank you so much everyone!” she captioned the post.
