Producer Arrested In LA Model's Death Now Charged With 4 Other Sexual Assaults

The charges keep coming for David Pearce.

As we reported, the producer was charged with manslaughter in connection to the deaths of Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola and Christy Giles, who were found dumped outside separate LA hospitals last month.

Now, officials are slapping Pearce with more charges for allegedly sexually assaulting four other women. On Friday, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced that the 39-year-old was being charged with two counts of forcible rape and one count each of rape of an unconscious or asleep person and sexual penetration by a foreign object.

He is also accused of sexually assaulting a woman in August 2010, as well as raping a woman in February 2019, and two other women in separate incidents last year. The DA said in a statement:

“My office takes violence against women very seriously. By aggressively prosecuting sexual assault cases, we make our community safer and protect others from becoming victims in the future. This case is evolving and we continue to work with law enforcement in developing evidence of other possible crimes. If you have any information, please contact the Los Angeles Police Department immediately.”

Earlier this month, Pearce was taken into custody along with two other men, Brandt Osborn and Michael Ansbach, who were arrested on suspicion of being accessories to manslaughter. Osborn, a background actor, was arrested on the set of NCIS: Los Angeles. Ansbach is a cameraman whose credits include Vanderpump Rules, Dancing With The Stars, LA Ink, and The Amazing Race.

Ansbach was released on $100,000 bond on December 16. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office rejected the LAPD’s case against Osborn, causing the arrest to retroactively be reduced to a detention. Pearce is being held on $1 million bail.

The women are believed to have met the trio at a warehouse party in downtown LA on November 13. Police say Giles and Cabrales-Arzola then went back to Pearce’s apartment where they were given drugs and overdosed. Masked men later dumped Giles outside Southern California Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after. Hours after that, Cabrales-Arzola was dropped at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Hospital, where she died two weeks later.

The case is still under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, West Bureau Homicide.
