Former Eternal singer Louise Redknapp, 47, has taken to Instagram to break her silence on claims that she’s having a hard time over her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, 48, welcoming his new baby son, Raphael, with wife Frida Redknapp. The star shared a statement in view of her 726,000 followers this evening firing back at reports that she’s “in despair” over Jamie becoming a father for the third time.

Louise posted a snap of a magazine headline, which read: “Louise’s despair over Jamie’s new baby.”

Hitting out at the claims, the West End performer wrote: “I try not to read or respond to these things but sometimes they’re unavoidable.

“I’d really love to clarify that “Louise” is not in despair or anything like it!!

“I have my 2 gorgeous boys that I adore more than anything in the world, the best family around me and I’m having the time of my life in my career and with the most wonderful friends that a girl could hope for.

“These stories are there to sell magazines but I’d like to make it clear that I’m in the most positive of headspace and loving my life.”

The star defiantly added in an inspirational message: “Here’s to all the ladies out there that are in control of their lives and living their very best lives!”

Louise’s post comes after Jamie took to Instagram to share the news with his 1.4 million followers that his wife, Swedish model Frida Redknapp, had given birth to their first child together.

Louise’s ex-husband posted a picture of himself beaming away with his one-day-old son on social media.

He captioned the post: “Meet Raphael Anders Redknapp, we’re so in love, mum is doing so well too.”

Jamie continued: “We can’t thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Chelsea and Westminster enough. So excited for him to meet my boys.”

Frida also gushed over the couple’s new arrival, writing on Instagram: “Our Viking has arrived.

“Feeling beyond blessed to have welcomed this precious little boy, Raphael Anders Redknapp, to our family.”

The ex-Liverpool footballer married Frida, 38, at Chelsea Registry Office in London just one month before she gave birth to their son.

The sports star was previously married to Louise between 1998 and 2017 and the couple share two sons: Charley, 16, and Beau, 12.

Louise previously admitted in her book, You’ve Got This: And Other Things I Wish I Had Known, that she wished she had tried harder to save her marriage to Jamie.

However, since then, she seems to be in a better place and has spoken out about her dating life.

The mum-of-two told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine that her sons have been urging her to get back out there and meet someone new.

Speaking about her sons, she explained: “Oh yeah, they always say: ‘When are you going to [date]?’ Dating just takes time,” she revealed.

“It sounds basic, but I’ve got two things that are really important to me right now: my kids, because I want to be a solid part of their life, and my work.

“Right now, that’s enough for me, I’m not saying forever. I’m learning to just be OK with myself.

“I’m not loving myself, but I’ve been OK. I’m getting there,” she concluded.
