Rachel Zegler is stepping into Jennifer Lawrence‘s shoes when she takes the lead in the Hunger Games prequel movie The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
In the case of one of her looks in the movie, she will be, quite literally pulling inspiration from Jennifer’s character Katniss Everdeen.
The movie’s costume designer revealed the reference to keep an eye peeled for when you see the movie in theaters next month!

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, costume designer Trish Summerville revealed Lucy’s rainbow dress featured a Katniss reference.
“We had the corset mimic the shape of Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss’ blue mockingjay dress,” she explained. The dress in question is the one that Jennifer wore in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire before being sent to the Games for a second time. Her stylist Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) helped her transform her wedding dress into a striking gown fit to start a revolution. It was modeled after a mockingjay.
Rachel has also put her own spin on Jennifer‘s song “The Hanging Tree.”
