Jess Wright shares struggles in honest mum post: ‘Been one of those days’

Jess Wright shared her struggles with motherhood in a candid post on Monday.

The 36 year old gave her followers an update on life as a new mum after welcoming her son Presley last month, as she reposted a quote on Instagram Stories about the trials of parenting little ones.

It read: "I held my babies for their naps. I used a pacifier till 2. I microwave my kids’ meals. We used iPads and screen time. I bribe with candy. We skip baths. I let them eat fries for lunch. I sleep trained I use formula. I lose my cool.

"My stomach is soft. I neglect household chores. I get touched out by the end of the day. I love it and I need a break. It’s easy to think you’re doing it all wrong and everyone else is doing it right. But I promise mama, there’s no right way to do this, just your own way."

Jess wrote underneath the supportive message: “Needed to hear this. Been one of those days”.

After voicing her struggles, the TOWIE star was able to see the funny side in it all as she reposted a second quote about the reality of new parenthood, which read: "My house looks like a lost game of Jumanji", to which she added: “And this”.

Prior to sharing these messages, Jess had posted a photo of her black clothes covered in spit-up with the caption: “Mum Life”, giving fans a glimpse of what she goes through looking after her baby boy, like every parent tending to their newborn.

Presley is Jess’ first child shared with husband William Lee-Kemp.

The TV star has kept quite a low profile since welcoming her son in May and opened up about her sleep deprivation in a post four days ago as she got dressed to leave the house for the first time in a while.

Posting a selfie whilst sat in car wearing a white shirt and fresh-faced make-up, Jess wrote: “Mama’s tired but we move…. The very rare occasion I got to put some make up on this week."

The mum-of-one shared another photo on Sunday taken of her herself cradling her baby boy whilst sat next to her husband William and her dad Mark Wright Sr. on Father’s Day.

Jess gave her appreciation to both dad’s as she wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there today.

"These two men are so important to me for so many reasons & I couldn’t love them anymore than I do. Thank you to both of you for everything you are & everything you do.”
