With Meghan Markle’s birthday quickly approaching, her followers have started to wonder how she will celebrate.
According to Page Six, on August 4, the Duchess of Sussex will celebrate her milestone 40th birthday in California. Early reports claimed that Markle hired Oprah Winfrey’s party planner, Colin Cowie, to organize the celebration. A source told the Daily Mail that Markle intended to have about people gather at her mansion in Santa Barbara. They said, “Meghan wants a small gathering. About 65 people are invited, her closest friends and family. Colin was recommended to her by Oprah who always puts on fabulous parties.”
However, Page Six just revealed that the Duchess doesn’t have any plans for a big party. The rumor that Markle hired Cowie to plan an extravagant birthday celebration is completely false. With the COVID-19 pandemic still in full swing, the mother of two intends to keep things low-key for her special day this year.
Meghan a simple celebration amid the ongoing pandemic
As expected, Meghan Markle will celebrate her 40th birthday with her husband Prince Harry (via Page Six). The pair are currently on paternal leave, as Markle recently gave birth to their daughter Lilibet.
With the COVID-19 situation worsening in California, Markle plans to have a quiet celebration with her immediate family. There is a possibility that the Duchess will invite a few of her best friends to a limited-attendance birthday party. This potential celebration could include, her college friend Lindsay Roth, actress Janina Gavankar, actress Abigail Spencer, director Silver Tree, and makeup artist Daniel Martin.
There is also a chance that Harry may whisk his wife and two children away on a special getaway. Royal experts think that the Sussexes may release a family photo to celebrate the special day. Phil Dampier told The Sun, “I think it’s likely we will see a picture of the family. It wouldn’t surprise me, if Meghan does release a pic of her with Lilibet to mark her 40th birthday, as they’ll will want to emphasise what a happy family unit they are.”
