Idris Elba was the perfect son as he arrived at the premiere of his new show Hijack with his doting mum Eve on his arm.
The actor, 50, looked suave as he donned a textured pale blue suit jacket and matching trousers for the event at BFI Southbank in London.
He finished off the look with a pair of smart navy Loafers, while his proud mum was a vision in a patterned co-ord, velvet scarf, and statement jewellery.
And it's not the first time the British actor has brought his mum along to a star-studded event, as last year he was seen posing for pictures with both Eve and rapper Stormzy at the premiere of the film Beast.
Idris is currently playing the role of Sam Nelson in the new seven-part Apple TV+ thriller series Hijack.
The show is every nervous flyer's worst nightmare as it follows business negotiator Sam, who is happily settled in his seat on a plane bound for London when it's hijacked by an armed gang.
The Luther star recently opened up to OK! about why he was so attracted to the role and promised that the show will be different from other thrillers we have seen in the past.
"We've seen hijacking, we've seen heist films, we've seen all of that," admits Idris.
"But I felt like we are going to try and turn this on its head. The focus is this man who is not the hero, he's not a big army guy or anything like that.
"He's not an ex-cop, he's just a man with a mission. He's just a man with a brain, he's a man that thinks on his toes, he's a man that is vulnerable like anyone else would be on that plane."
The actor, who recently disappointed fans by ruling himself out as the next James Bond, promises that the tense new series will be addictive and keep you on the edge of your seat, adding: "The show is very relatable. You and I have both been on flights, and we can all imagine what we would be like in that situation.
"Hopefully, people will sit around and talk about that. If I'm really honest, I wanted to make a TV show or be part of a TV show that everyone will talk about.
"You know when there were only four channels, and everyone watched TV at the same time over the same period, and the next day that's all you would talk about? I sort of miss that a little bit."
"Part of my goal is to recreate that sensation, like you've got to watch that show," he continues.
"There is always the question of what do you want audiences to take away from a show, and ultimately for me, it's about how far can I get them to escape. I want them to talk about it – talk about the characters, talk about what they would do in those situations.
"Ultimately, I want them to be like, 'I could not stop watching that show.' Just next episode, next episode, next episode. That's what I want."
