Tiki Barber‘s eventful Saturday following the Popular Brooklyn Half didn’t end with just pancakes.
The former Giants running back, who completed the 13.1-mile race in one hour and 52 minutes, had family business to attend to.
“I got up early today, I’m going to go take a nap, but I also have a recital for my daughter, so that’s what I’m going to celebrate,” Barber shared of his 5-year-old’s ballet recital. “I’m looking forward to that.”
Barber, 44, a seasoned runner, previously spoke to Page Six about the half marathon advice he gave fellow NFL alum, D’Brickashaw Ferguson, prior to the race.
“I said don’t go too fast, the obvious advice, but also, soak it up because Brooklyn is amazing. The people who come out and cheer and watch, it pushes you,” Barber said.
Barber called it a career following the 2006 NFL season. Ferguson, a former Jets offensive tackle, retired in 2016 after 10 seasons.
