Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan opened up on her Christmas plans and said "co-parenting is a journey", as she prepares to spend it without her three children.
Helen shares children Matilda, eight, Delilah, five and Charlie, two, with her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair who she separated from last year after 13 years together.
This will be the first year that Helen is spending the festive day away from her three children and revealed what she'd be getting up to on Lorraine on Wednesday morning, 20 December. Helen said: "I feel like with co-parenting it is a journey".
She added: "my kids just love their daddy so much and they are going to him for Christmas for four days. Scott is working in Bristol and he plays football. Then I'm going to go to Bali for 10 days with them for New Year."
Helen also spoke about spending her first Christmas without her children in Closer, where she said: "It will actually be the first Christmas that I don't have my children. I think it's good to have challenges, and with co-parenting you've got to be fair. And it's not about you, it's about the children and what makes them happy".
The couple announced their split in October last year, however they decided to put their differences aside and spent last Christmas together as a family.
While Helen and Scott appear to be on good terms, she opened up to OK! earlier this year and revealed there was no chance of a reconciliation in the future. Helen told OK! “I just hope we can be good friends and co-parent.”
It was claimed earlier this year that Helen had signed up to Raya – the exclusive dating app, which she confirmed to OK! and said that she’s open to meeting someone new. “But I wouldn’t want to say if I’ve been on any dates,” she said. “Maybe next time! It’s nice to have some fun.”
This follows as Helen's big acting come back has been revealed as she prepares to join the 2024 UK tour of Cluedo 2 – The Next Chapter as interior designer Annabel Scarlett.
This will mark the mum-of-three's first acting gig since leaving Coronation Street in 2018.
