Folk singer Roger Whittaker has died at the age of 87.
The hitmaker behind the 1969 song Durham Town began his career in folk clubs.
Roger then rose to fame with the Skye Boat Song, a duet with Des O’Connor in 1986.
The singer’s website confirmed his death, as the homepage shows a picture of the late musician, alongside his year of birth and death.
The site also asks fans to leave a comment in an online book of condolences.
