Emmerdale star Max Parker has announced he is engaged to his former on-screen brother, Kris Mochrie. The actor, 39, who played Luke Posner on the ITV soap for two years, branded it the “happiest moment of my life” as his partner said yes after he got down on one knee to propose.

Max wrote: “He deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart.

The actor shared the caption alongside a series of romantic snaps celebrating the joyous occasion.
In the first, Luke and Kris shared an affectionate kiss as the latter showcased his engagement ring while also holding a bottle of champagne.
The second picture showed the couple looking out at the sea as they sat side by side on the beach.
A short clip captured the moment the Emmerdale star popped the question.
Getting down on one knee with a ring in hand, the actor asked his partner to marry him.
Kris raised his hands to his head in disbelief before nodding his head and kissing his fiance.
Max also shared the post to his Instagram stories with the caption: “He said YES.”
After sharing the good news, Max was soon inundated with congratulatory messages from his celebrity friends and fans.
His Emmerdale co-star Anthony Quinlan wrote: “Aww buzzing! Congratulations guys,” followed by a red heart.
Natalia Ann Jamieson, who plays Amy Wyatt on the ITV soap, commented: “Amazing news!! Congratulations you gorgeous pair xxx.”
While Emmerdale star Lisa Jane Riley added: “Love love love to you both!!! CONGRATULATIONS,” alongside a series of kiss face emojis.
Call The Midwife actor Jennifer Kirby penned: “The most beautiful couple xxxxxx.”
Sharing the happy news to his Instagram account, Kris told how he had “no idea at all”, before revealing Max had asked his mum for family jewellery that he would go on to feature in the engagement ring.
The couple first met in 2019 on the set of the ITV soap.
A year later, Max and Kris confirmed their romance with Max adding he “felt comfortable” knowing he is gay.
