EastEnders actor Steve McFadden has been hit with five points on his driving licence and forced to pay a £580 fine after being caught speeding.
The actor, 63, best known for playing Phil Mitchell in the BBC soap, was pulled over by a police officer with a mobile speed gun in October last year.
He was caught doing 35mph in a 20mph zone while on his moped near his home in North London.
His case was heard at a Special Judicial Procedure at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Thursday 17 March, though he did not have to attend the hearing due to previously pleading guilty to the charge. Details of the case were released by the court on request.
Steve has now been fined £440 for the speeding offence. He has also been ordered to pay £100 in costs as well as a £44 victim services surcharge.
Not only this, but he now has five points added to his licence.
Steve is known to be a keen scooter enthusiast and has been seen riding one to and from Elstree Studios, where EastEnders is filmed.
But this isn't the first time that Steve has purportedly defied road laws.
In 2010, he was pictured riding his moped on a pavement rather than the road. However, the police were not informed of this at the time.
And in 1996, he was slapped with an 18-month driving ban due to drinking under the influence of alcohol.
The actor was stopped in his Rolls-Royce, with a blood alcohol level equivalent to that of nine double vodka measures.
Steve told police officers he had only had three pints of beer around 10:30pm.
However, his blood alcohol level suggested he had more than this. While the legal limit is 35mcg per 100ml of breath, his measurement was that of 80mcg.
At the time, an 18-month ban was seen by some as too lenient, with many calling for his ban to be extended.
During this case, the court was told Steve planned to fight the case with the claim his drinks were spiked.
However, this was later pulled by his defence team, as they felt it would be too hard to prove this to be the case.
