A few days after he allegedly got his two chain necklaces snatched by thieves while in Canada, the Generation Now founder is said to have the accessories on the way back to him.
AceShowbiz –DJ Drama might have spent quite a lot of money to get his stolen jewelry back. Days after being reported to have been robbed while in Canada, the Generation Now founder was said to have gotten his chain necklaces back by paying $120,000 for them.
The alleged amount of money Drama had to spend was spilled by local rapper Top5. On Tuesday, June 13, the rapper let out the comment in DJ Akademiks‘ Instagram post about Drama getting his chains back. Top5 wrote, “120K for the chain back that’s a good deal.” Along with it, he added two face with tears of joy emojis and a handshake emoji.
DJ Drama was revealed by Top5 to have spent $120k to get his jewelry back.
Earlier that same day, Drama was revealed to have his stolen necklaces on the way back to him in an Instagram video uploaded by DJ Akademiks. Originally shared by Toronto’s media outlet Keep6ixSolid, the video shared a simple note that read, “DJ Drama’s Chains are OTW back to him.”
The clip additionally offered a look at the “So Many Girls” rapper’s two chain necklaces being placed on what appeared to be a set of equipment for a music studio. Along with the video, Akademiks explained in the caption, “Keep6ixSolid reports that DJ Drama’s chains are on the way back to him. Via @keep6ixsolid.”
Drama was reported to have gotten his luxury accessories snatched when he was in Canada. His jewelry thieves bragged that they had stolen two of his chain necklaces in a video making its way online on Sunday, June 11. In the clip, one of the robbers could also be heard giving a shout out to Drake.
“That’s what you f**king get for not checking in. Shout out boy Drizzy, eh. Triple Gs, you know how we rock,” one of the robbers proudly boasted. In the video shared via Twitter, the thieves flaunted the jewelry they claimed to have stolen to the camera. Also attached was a picture of Drama wearing the chains.
