The former EastEnders actress admitted she was in crippling pain after landing in Portugal following her face surgery in Turkey.

The 49-year-old previously announced she was preparing to go under the knife to help rebuild her face after battling addiction.

The EastEnders actress’ representatives last month revealed she was due to have her “final” reconstructive surgery in Turkey.

Taking to her Instagram Stories last night, Danniella said she has since gone back to hospital.

In view of her 114,000 followers, she wrote: “Only I could land in Portugal after surgery only to end up in hospital.

“The pain I’ve experienced is unreal, most frightening few days. Need it like a hole in their head…”

The on-screen star opened up about her latest procedure in a new interview as she shared the aftercare photos.

Danniella told The Sun: “For the facial reconstruction I had a surgical thread lift where they put 1200 threads into my face.

“Then I had liposuction to remove fat from my body and into my cheeks and lips and to make my face more symmetrical. They also used it to align my nose. I had fat grafting on my chin and my jawline etched.”

Her surgery comes after she was left with crumbling bones in her nose and a collapsed jaw and cheekbones due to years of addiction.

Before her latest procedure, her representatives said: “Danniella is yet to have her final reconstructive surgery.

“This will take place in Turkey in the upcoming weeks.”

The actress took to social media in 2021 to update her fans on her surgery journey after the bone in her jaw began to wear away five years ago.

“Ready for my minor procedures to start,” she captioned one snap, which showed her with her lower face covered in bandages.

While another snap read: “Today’s the day for the first of my reconstructive surgery minor procedure first but big changes coming waited so long for this to start.” (sic)
