Director Amit Sharma’s Badhaai Ho has ended its second weekend on a phenomenal note. Despite facing stiff competition from Saif Ali Khan’s Baazaar, the film showed substantial growth each passing day. The light-hearted family entertainer collected Rs 18.15 crore in the last weekend and now stands with the grand total of Rs 84.25 crore. We are expecting the film to cross the Rs 90 crore mark by the end of its second week at the ticket windows and if the film holds well post that, it will enter the Rs 100 crore club at the box office.
Apart from the domestic circuit, the film has performed exceedingly well in the international markets, especially at the Austrailian box office, where it crossed the A$ 500,000 mark. Talking about the overwhelming response, Ayushmann said, “It is an overwhelming and a humbling moment for me as an actor. As an artiste, I have always backed concepts, filmmakers who were doing clutter breaking work. I think I have been lucky enough in my journey to have got the right films and I’m thankful to all my filmmakers for believing in me.”
