Amy Hart details son’s diagnosis after being forced to see private dermatologist

Amy Hart has provided a health update on her baby son Stanley after they were forced to see a private dermatologist.

The former Love Island star, 30, took to Instagram on Saturday 5 November to outline Stanley's health condition which left him "scratching himself until he bleeds." Amy, who shares her son with fiancé Sam Rason, 35 explained that it started with a "little virus" before turning into a "yeast infection".

Just a few weeks ago, Amy shared that she was getting nowhere with Stanley's "painful" skin problems. "Stanley's skin around his neck is just so bad at the moment. His body is fine now, and his eyes are on and off OK.

"But his skin around his neck is so bad, and I just got really angry at the world," she told her followers on Wednesday 4 October. A month later Amy took to Instagram with an update and started off by saying: "We are a very ill household, Stanley is now also ill as well.

"Sam had it first so he's alright but 'little man you're not good are you'" as she spoke to her eight month old son. Amy went on to share that they were "snuggled under a blanket" on the sofa watching Sesame Street as they "try to make" Stanley feel "a little bit better".

The doting mum of one didn't specify what the family had come down with but told fans she was starting to feel better after feeling "horrendous" on Friday. Concerned about her little boy, Amy went on to say: "Stanley isn't great, he's just gone to sleep. What I'm really worried about is that we've just got his skin really nice".

She added: "I mean he's not scratching himself until he bleeds."

Amy went on to explain that around ten weeks ago he had a "little virus" which "triggered eczema and turned into a yeast infection". The Love Island star ended the video by saying "I don't really have time to be ill, I've got a lot of work this week" before sharing with fellow parents the creams a private dermatologist recommended for Stanley.

While one cream was available from the pharmacy the second cream had to be specially ordered, with Amy giving a shoutout to her local pharmacy for their help in sourcing the product. This cream set them back £72 for a 15ml tube which shocked the TV star but went on to confirm it had been working.

Finishing Stanley's health update on Instagram, Amy posted a photo of her son smiling at the camera while snuggled next to his doting dad Sam. She added the lengthy caption: "Just to clarify, we went to an AMAZING private dermatologist that loads of you recommended after trying to see a gp multiple times and being seen by other practitioners in the surgery who just told us eczema/rashy baby.

"So they're private prescription this time but they write to your gp to tell them what they've given so hopefully if it got bag again we could get a kid's prescription.

"We've used a tiny bit every day so hopefully won't need a new tube for aaages as I obviously won't use it unless it's a yeast infection again as we have non-steroid creams to exhaust before.

Could the gp have told us it was a yeast infection 8 weeks ago… potentially yes, but it's sorted now and I'm just praying we don't start all over again now!"
