Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s relationship has finally got a nod from the latter’s mother, Soni Razdan. The two who have been dating each other for the last few months had already received a thumbs up from Ranbir’s parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, who are professing love for their bahu-to-be quite openly. Not just Ranbir’s family, Alia’s daddy cool, Mahesh Bhatt, too had hinted that he has approved of their jodi, when he had said, “I have never spoken about my children’s private lives. They are adults and it is their prerogative. I would never demean and belittle them by talking about it in public. It’s their right and if they want to talk about it or to remain silent about it; it’s their choice. I respect what they do with their life.”

And now it looks like, Alia’s mum too is in awe of her daughter’s choice. In a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, when the veteran actress was asked if Alia has discussed about her relationship with Ranbir to her, she said, “I don t discuss these things with anybody. (Laughs) Of course, we know Ranbir very well.” Moving on, when Soni was asked to comment on Rishi Kapoor’s statement, wherein he said, ” Neetu (Ranbir s mom) likes her, I like her, Ranbir likes her. Get it?.” Mama Bhatt reverted, “I don t know really, Rishi ji is very outspoken, he never minces words. We all know each other, I have worked with him. I know Neetu and Ranbir. What s the big thing? But Ranbir is a lovely, lovely boy.”
And how did she feel when rumours of Ranbir and Alia dating each other started doing the rounds? “I have a very good relationship with my daughter. I don t go by what rumours say; I talk to her directly. We have had discussions on what s going on or not going on in her life. It s her life at the end of the day, so I am happy to let her live it the way she wants to.” Thats’ it, mama Bhatt too has no qualms about their love-affair. Well, don’t know about you, but we can hear the wedding bells ringing. Meanwhile on the work front, Ranbir and Alia recently wrapped up the Bulgaria schedule of their first project together, Brahmastra. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
