Despite Friends being off-air for 17 years, fans have continued to binge-watch it regularly thanks to streaming services and reruns.
But many are only just now noticing a habit that actress Jennifer Aniston has, thanks to one viewer. A fan with the username cts.trphe pointed out on TikTok that the Rachel Green star clears her throat before starting a sentence.
Responding to a video about annoying TV tropes, he said: “So technically this isn’t a trope but what I’m about to say is going to ruin your life, especially if you are a big fan of the show Friends.
“If you are a big fan of the show, I’m begging you, scroll away, because I’m going to ruin your life.
“Jennifer Aniston has this vocal tic that she does at the beginning of every single sentence that she starts on any show that she’s in.
“It’s very specific and it’s very hard to unsee once you notice it.”
He then shared a video montage from the 90s/00s show that proved his point, with many fans reacting by admitting they’d never noticed it before.
Elsewhere, Friends star Cole Sprouse recently admitted working alongside Aniston was actually quite difficult for him due to his crush on her.
“I was a child, I would stammer a lot and I’d forget my lines,” the Riverdale star explained on The Drew Barrymore Show last month as he recalled his time playing Ross’ son Ben.
“I feel like I’ve maintained my composure a bit more effectively now, but it was quite difficult when I was a kid. I was teased a little bit by the crew because they saw it.”
“The whole world had a crush on Jennifer Aniston,” he added.
