Tom Hiddleston to reprise Loki role in new Marvel TV series

Tom Hiddleston is set to reprise his role as Loki in a TV series for new Disney streaming service.

Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger confirmed Marvel Studios is developing a series based on the god of mischief, much to the delight of MCU fans everywhere.

Tom Hiddleston ‘s Loki was a fan-favourite, and there was uproar when the character appeared to die in Avengers: Infinity War, with petitions to bring him back for future films.

And it looks like fans have got their wish as he’s set to return to our screens.

With the service not launching in the US until 2019, and several other projects lined up alongside this one, we’re not likely to find out the specifics any time soon.

Very few details have been released so far, so we don’t know when the series will be set, but we do know that it is to be another live-action series added to the impressive roster.

This is the second Marvel series announced to air on Disney+, as it was recently revealed Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie will reprise their roles as Bucky and Falcon in their own limited television series.

There is expected to be six to eight episodes, with a blockbuster budget, as the series will be produced by Marvel Studios and its MCU mastermind Kevin Feige .
