Gemma Collins has admitted she’s had to ditch a lot of friends since becoming famous.
And the TOWIE star revealed the very sneaky way she figured out who she can trust.
During an appearance on today’s Loose Women , Gemma said she devised a plan to weed out the friends who were selling stories on her.
The women were discussing the letter Meghan Markle had sent to her father Thomas, expressing her grief that he’d sold a story about her to the press.
Gemma was asked if she’d ever had someone in her close circle turn on her.
She told Andrea McLean, Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore and Saira Khan: "I mean, I’ve had to get rid of friends out of my circle for selling stories and that was really sad for me, because they do get contacted, they get tempted with money.
"I went through a bit of a stage where I’d tell one person one thing, because I didn’t know who was telling tales on me.
"I’d tell that one that, that one that, that one that, and then I would know, I used to keep a notebook because I couldn’t remember what I’d told them, and then I knew if that got out, that’s the person selling the stories."
When asked if she confronted them, she said: "Yes, I go, block, delete, ‘get out of my life, don’t talk to me again’."
Gemma also revealed on the show that she signed up to Dancing On Ice so she could have a baby.
She’s dying to start a family with her boyfriend, James ‘Arg’ Argent, and has explained how taking part in the ITV show is all part of the story.
She said: "I was told I needed to lose weight [to have children] so that’s why I decided to do the show to better myself in the long term."
Opening up about her hope of becoming a mum, she continued: "I’ve definitely struggled with it because a lot of my friends from TOWIE have gone on to have a baby and people would say to me, ‘When are you going to have one?’
"I was told I would struggle to conceive but then I got two other opinions and it turns out everything is going to be okay, I just needed to lose weight."
Gemma said her boyfriend is desperate to be a dad, and that she knows he’ll be a great one because he’s so good with their friends’ children, including Ferne McCann’s daughter Sunday.
Gemma said: "Arg is the one that keeps going on about it but then he says, ‘I’d like to be married first’ and I say to him, ‘Go and get that yellow diamond and we’ll get things moving’."
