Ella Chadwick celebrated her Christmas present by hugging Basil Brush after receiving it on Good Morning Britain.
The little girl stole the nation’s hearts when she won the Pride of Britain Award earlier this year, having raised thousands of pounds for children’s charities.
She herself has congenital nephrotic syndrome, a kidney conditionwhich means she uses a walker to get around, but that doesn’t stop her from making cards for children with illnesses in hospital, or for the elderly in a care home.
Basil Brush appeared on the show to offer her a special present for Christmas, and her reaction was absolutely priceless.
Basil offered her the bag, and she dutifully didn’t open it straight away as she was waiting for permission to open a present pre-Christmas.
When given the OK, she ripped apart the packaging, throwing the card out to her mum, before ripping the paper open.
When she saw the doll, a special Barbie which looked like Jasmine from Aladdin, she clutched it close to her chest and laughed hysterically, exclaiming: "Yay Jasmine! Thank you, I love it!"
She hugged it before turning to Basil Brush and giving him a hug, as he was the official gift giver.
Earlier in her interview, she talked about giving out cards to the elderly at a care home, after making them herself.
She said: "It was actually, I enjoyed it and couldn’t believe I did it again and it was amazing actually."
The elderly people were so happy with their cards, with one saying: "I’m overwhelmed, she’s such a beautiful little thing. I’ll keep it forever."
Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway also asked Ella to alk about her singing at the awards, at which she replied: "I felt really proud and I felt…
"I love to sing everybody because that makes everybody smile and happy."
