Exclusive! Randeep Hooda to play a boxer in Vishesh Film’s next?

After maintaining a low profile for a year, Vishesh Films seems to be gearing up for a roller-coaster ride for the upcoming year. Post the announcement of the sequel to 1991 hit Sadak which will star Sanjay Dutt and Alia Bhatt, the team is working on another exciting project. BollywoodLife has exclusively learnt that Vishesh Films is simultaneously working on a script that would revolve around a boxer. A reliable source reveals that the makers have approached one of their favourite actors to play the male protagonist. Randeep Hooda, who was last seen in Baaghi 2, has been offered the movie. If a little birdie is to be believed he has also given a nod for the project. Hooda would essay a boxer in the movie, a similar character that he earlier played in Sultan, which starred Salman Khan.

The 42-year-old, who hails from Rohtak, Haryana, has had a successful stint with the production house in the past. His repertoire comprises of movies like Jannat 2, Jism 2 and such, all of them helmed under Vishesh Films. With this project it will be a like a homecoming for the actor, who last worked with them in 2013 in Murder 3. Not much is known about the project yet. It is in the initial stages, is what we’ve gathered. The hunt for the female lead is currently on. “The makers want a fresh pairing for the movie,” a source reveals.

We couldn’t reach out to the actor or the production house for more details.

The actor would be soon seen in a historical saga titled Battle Of Saragarhi, where he plays the male protagonist Havildar Ishar Singh. Meanwhile, the production house is gearing up for the release of their upcoming film Jalebi. Post that their ambitious project Sadak 2 would go on floors.
